Unwavering Love

The most important feeling people need to feel is the love of God!

A Special Day for Mothers! May 4, 2011

Happy Mother’s Day!

I want to talk about a mother who has sacrificed a lot for her children! A mother to me is one that will always be there for her children. She already has a relationship with the child before the child is even born! She dedicates her life to help that child learn and grow so they can achieve happiness and success in this life. I know my mother has done that for me because I would not be who I am if it was not for my mother teaching me the gospel!

MY MOTHER!!!

A woman who suffered pain to bring me into the world!

A woman who forgoes work to raise me!

A woman who loves me enough to teach me that I am a daughter of God!

A woman who let me fall so I could learn to pick myself back up! (but would always be by my side!)

A woman who taught me not take flack from no one to stand up for myself when needed!

A woman who would always support me in dance recitals!

A woman who gave me rules to keep me safe but really to keep me happy:)

A woman who is not afraid but very strong and courageous!

A woman who stands for the right and chooses to follow Jesus Christ then to teaches me to do the same!

A woman who is a warrior of light who is dedicated to raising her children to be stalwarts in the gospel!

This is my MOTHER!

Now they never had fought, yet they did not fear death; and they did think more upon the liberty of their fathers than they did upon their lives; yea they had been taught by their mothers, that if they did not doubt, God would deliver them. And they rehearsed unto me the words of their mothers, saying: We do not doubt our mothers knew it.

Alma 56:47-48

The Love of a Father! March 29, 2011

The love of a Father is so precious to me. As a Missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints we as women serve for 18 months! We leave behind all things from home to serve Jesus Christ anywhere throughout the world! That means leaving behind Mom and Dad. Now I love my parents so dearly so you may be thinking why did you leave them? Well that is a simple answer because I know the Book of Mormon is true. My Dad has always been my hero. He has taught me to be a hard worker, a responsible adult, and a social butterfly. There is nothing better than a Father who loves his daughter! I am a Daddy’s Girl for sure!  The point I want to make today is that no matter where you are you can feel your Father’s love!

I was having a hard day in the mission Field. You know that feeling when things go all wrong and all you want is your parents to comfort and hold you? I was having one of those moments where all I wanted was my Mom and Dad to hold me and to love me to tell me all would be alright. Well there I was sitting alone in my bedroom feeling sad because my parents were not there to be with me and the hard day I just had experienced. I know I am a child of a loving Father in Heaven and my parents have always taught me to turn to him in all things! “…Cry unto God for all thy support; yea, all thy doings be unto the Lord.” Alma 37:36 I did pour out my whole soul to him because I needed to be wrapped in his arms and to feel his love for me. As I prayed I knew he was right there with me giving me feelings of peace, joy, and happiness! My Father was there with me comforting me telling me everything will be alright! I promise when we cry unto him he will already be there ready to put his arms around us! I know this because he is there for me ALWAYS!!! That is a true love a Father has for his daughter in so many ways like our Fathers here on earth!

Pictures are worth a thousand words! March 2, 2011

“For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

                                            John 3:16

Lets think about this scripture what meaning does it have for you?

For me it is everything that our Father in Heaven has unwavering love for us that he sacrificed his only begotten son on our behalf! He sent his son Jesus Christ to save all people. When we build our faith in Jesus Christ our desire to follow him increases! I invite all to gain a testimony and believe in the Savior Jesus Christ because it is only through him we might live…

“…Yet I am not alone because the Father is with me. These things I have spoken unto you, that ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”

                                                   John 16:32-33

This is the unwavering love that I would hope you feel as you ponder the savior and his love for you. Remember he did not have to do this he could have stopped at any moment but he did not because his love for us meant more to him. I know that he loves me without any doubt in my mind because he has pulled me out of the darkest moments in my life. I invite you to look for moments and ponder the Lord’s love for you!

“I asked Jesus ‘How much do you

love me?’ ‘This much!’ he answered.

Then he stretched out his arms and

died.”

How “Unwavering Love” came to be… February 18, 2011

As I was picking from a variety of names for my blog  I was at my desk viewing the list. As my mind pondered I looked up and right in front of me is a picture  of the Savior Jesus Christ with a title that reads; Courage, Submission, and Unwavering Love! Then it hit me LOVE that’s what all people need! I know that people need to feel that true source of love. A love that never changes, a love that never fails, and a love that never wavereth. Hence the title “Unwavering Love” which is the love that God has for all of us.

When I ponder of Jesus Christ I know he has unwavering love for me because he has taken upon himself  my trials, burdens, and the pain I feel when my heart breaks. Sometimes that pain comes from my own personal choices by the mistakes I have made but I feel secure enough in the Lord’s love to keep me going! To give you an idea there is a song that expresses this. and I love music and this song is called “He Loves Me” by Hilary Weeks that has touched me deeply and changed my life:

I know he loves me

when I’m weak when I’m strong

when I stand when I fall

just as I am

I know he loves me

I know these lyrics are true he loves us no matter what and more importantly I know his love is unwavering!
